Text adopted during the International Conference: Sharing Health Data and AI Insights for Longevity in Europe and Around the World Thursday, February 29th, 2024

We want to contribute to the establishment of a system that permits trust among citizens, managed either by a public institution or a non-governmental organization (NGO). In this sharing place, health data—whether anonymized or pseudonymized—is utilized exclusively for research purposes, with an opt-out mechanism. This utilization, especially leveraging the power of artificial intelligence (AI), aims to increase scientific endeavors forward while ensuring the privacy and confidentiality of individuals’ health information.

The overarching aim of this system is to extend the length and enhance the quality of human life, prioritizing aspects such as resilience, health, rejuvenation, and the preservation of what fundamentally defines us as human beings.

Recognizing the rapid pace of technological advancement, it is imperative to undertake a comprehensive risk assessment and embrace a precautionary-proactive stance. Just as one would swiftly act to extinguish a fire in a burning house, addressing potential risks associated with AI should be met with immediate action rather than hesitancy.

Among the myriad technological possibilities, the prospect of a future where humans exhibit heightened resilience and enjoy significantly extended healthy lifespans stands as both reassuring and inspiring. Research endeavors, whether explicitly targeting longevity and resilience through AI-driven interventions or implicitly advancing health-related studies, carry with them the potential for collateral benefits, notably the mitigation of risks and the promotion of overall well-being.
